My name is Ravi Krishnappa. I'm an independent consultant since 2017 and have spent considerable time working with start-ups on interesting product developments. My roles include defining the business problem and crafting solutions that can be used in different verticals. I'm available for short term and long term assignments to help clients deploy new business applications or enhance existing business applications.

My area of focus is in Sales and Marketing domains with a special interest in customers, contacts and products and related interactions.

I studied Mechanical Engineering and graduated with distinction. My first job was as a planning and scheduling engineer at a defense electronics factory. Then I was asked to manage the brand-new computer center to implement inventory automation. I learned programming and developed ERP modules for Sales, Materials Planning, Procurement, Shop Floor Optimization and Quality Control.

In 1996, I migrated to the US and worked 4 years at the world's largest tomato processing company and developed the ERP system for them. In 2001, I joined Cisco Systems as a consultant and became a FTE in 2006. I took a lead role in implementing Oracle MDM at Cisco. I left Cisco and worked for NetApp between 2010 and 2016 as an MDM Senior Solutions Architect.
